Sitting here watching last nights episode of Top Gear on iPlayer because I can’t wait for the repeat, I wonder how we ever managed before we had the internet. For some, that must seem a prehistoric age, but for others who can remember, life was perhaps a little simpler.
With no Facebook, MySpace, or YouTube, no little messages from your friends telling you that they are about to clean their teeth and go to bed, life was straightforward. The basic instincts however that existed then, still exist today, and the aspirations of personal greatness, of wanting to be the best, are still the same.
All of this brings me back to Top Gear. Yet again, Jezza has picked on the Hamster, and has just thrown his car roof down some French Alp, so now he’ll freeze his ****s off! Oh what fun.
A little later, and once again the Stig shows the boys how it should done! How many of us I wonder can guess the Stig’s identity? How many of us would like to say, I’ve beaten the Stig! Wouldn’t you like to say “Its Me”….. Well now you can, with a personalised Stig poster.
